Anyone come up with a solution to the wrinkled envelope problem ...

I too have been fighting the wrinkling problem since getting this printer.  Even the printing itself came out lousy on the envelopes.  Other than #10 envelopes, the printer works very well.  I did just recently speak to a Dell Tech person from the USA who actually had some very helpful suggestions.  He had me first configure both the printer itself and the computer  to print #10 envelopes using the MPF tray.  What I used to do would be to go into Microsoft word, go to tools, envelopes and labels, add the address, then print.  He felt the printer did not think it was printing envelopes, just plain paper.  By manually configuring the printer itself and saving the settings, it will now recognize envelopes as envelopes. However, every time you want to print envelopes, you have to first go to file, then print, then properties and change the settings from paper to envelopes.  You can save these settings as a favorite and just switch between standard and your saved favorite (#10 envelope) when printing.  I have found while this is more tedious, the envelopes defintiely comes out with signficantly less wrinkles and the print is much better.  He also suggested to use a low cotten fiber envelope and to place the flap inside the envelope prior to printing.  This is probably not the final solution but at least it is a step in the right direction.  If you have questions about manually configuring your printer to print envelopes first check your owner's manuel.  You want both paper type and paper size to be saved as envelopes when using the MPF tray.  If you need additional help, let me know.
