Dell 1110 Laser Printer Jams
Out of about 7 of these 1110 printers, we've experienced occasional jam through the years. Lately, a few of them have been having serious jam issues at the same location of the paper feed. The paper feeds in about 2-3 inches, but at the point it reaches the 2nd roller, it jams consistently. I've removed the 2nd roller & cleaned it, changed 3 different types of paper & thoroughly searched for any bits of paper. Nothing seems to help it.
The thing that really gets me is I'm having the issue on 3 separate machines all the time.
Any ideas out there??

I have the same problem on my Dell 1110. It's not that old, and I can't find anything wrong mechanically. Sometimes it works fine for a while, then decides to act up. I've reinstalled the driver (on XP Pro) but that doesn't help. I've found several posts of people who have had the same problem but never a solution. Dell seems to be ignoring us.

Sometimes this is caused by the main motor drive on the machine. What could happen is that a few teeth on the gears could have broke or they are partly broken. this will cause it to jam because on the rotation it will skip those teeth and stop the print job. but if they are cracked or partly broken they can actually work from time to time then stop. But in the mean time take apart the covers and take a can of compressed air and blow the entire machine out. Maybe there is something stuck in the exit sensors cause it to jam. and since you have the covers off inspect all the gears. Also the fuser could be going out as well but i would take it apart first and blow all the dust out and lube the gears with some sort of silicone grease.
