Dell printer not connecting to Sony laptop
Hi!
I just bought a Sony laptop there and have tried several times to connect my Dell Printer 944 to it but it keeps saying the USB port of the computer is not connected. I have tried troubleshooting and follwed the directions and the USB port is shown as being connected with the Root Hub appearing in the Device Manager. I was hoping someone knows how to connect the two. This Sony has Windows 7 on it. Is it that the printer 944 can't work with the new systemas this website says it's only compatible with Vista, 2000 and I forget the other one.....! I'm hoping I don't have to buy a new printer so all the help you can give will be appreciated!

I have other forum members that did get the Dell 944 Printer to work with Windows 7. Please follow the instructions located at...
944 All-In-One Printer owners thread (W7)
The secret is installing the drivers in the compatibility mode.
Let me know what happens.
