Drum for Dell 1320c Out of Stock

We need to replace the drum in our Dell 1320c printer (it is having quality issues related to the drum), but the drum has been out of stock for a couple of weeks already, and there is no indication when Dell will have more in stock.  Now, because we need to print in color, we are stuck considering purchasing another printer even though the 1320c still works fine and has over a year of warranty left on it.  Can someone provide me with an explanation for this shortage?  What does Dell expect its customers to do while waiting?
