Error 1706 on printing PDFs

When I try to print PDF documents, with both Bullzip and PDFCreator, I receive the message "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Dell Resource CD. The Windows Installer cannot continue." After cancelling the operation twice, printing resumes as if nothing occured. If I insert the Drivers and Utilities disk that came with my Dell Inspiron 6400, the message disappears, but will reappear next time I try to print. If I leave the disk in the drive, it will be accessed (taking about 1-2 minutes) each time I try to print. This error has only recently popped up, and I cannot figure out what has changed on my system. Any ideas?
