HP Printer - System keeps "losing" driver
Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) on my Dell XPS L501S. I have an HP Officejet 8500 (a909g) wireless printer. When I troubleshoot why nothing prints Windows tells me it can't find the driver. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the software/driver which fixed the problem until I went out of town for a week and took my laptop with me. Now even though my Dell "sees" the printer (the wireless network is working fine), it won't load the driver. When I troubleshoot the printer tells me there's no driver installed. Help appreciated. Thanks,

pnogrl,
Did you install Windows 7 Pro?
Try running Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID and post the rest of the information back here.
Also tell me the virus program and firewall you're using.
What type of wireless router and the type of security you're using?

Hi Rick,
Windows 7 Pro came pre-installed on my Dell. I ran the Finding System Info and the info is below. The only firewall I've got right now (to my knowledge) is the built-in Windows one. I'm using a Belkin router and currently only using Windows security.
Thanks,
Kit

pnogrl,
First, please click on the green pencil in the above post and remove the PRODUCT ID.
I still need the virus program you're using.
What type of security are us using in the Belkin router? What model is the Belkin? I have had an issue with a Belkin router not being to determine the difference between WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security(Personal) and WPA-AES
Is the printer already connected to your network?
Rick
