B1160w, causing Inspiron 530 running XP to shut down
Printer B1160w shutting down Inspiron 530 running XP every time I print.
I’ve been using this printer for over a year with out an issue using USB connection. Today it shuts down the computer every time I print. Tried reloading driver and tried using WiFi. Same shut down every time.
Strangely it does not shut it down using the Print Test Page in the printer’s properties or windows test print. It only happens in apps, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
Anyone have a suggestion?

Rich here, I’m replaying to my own post because I don’t know how to update it.
I solved it.
It’s the UPS the computer is plugged in to. The battery was on its last leg.
Even though the printer was not plugged into the UPS every time it started to print it caused the UPS to blink and the computer would shout down.
