Using coated papers in color laser 3110N

I have a large number of Kodak linen greeting cards, marked for inkjet.  I hate to get rid of them almost as much as I'd hate to mess up my printer!

I see that I can choose paper type "coated" in my printer settings.  What if I tried running them using that setting?  Will I ruin the paper or the printer?  Or both, I suppose.
