MS Office 2010 Home and Business software cannot verify license on my 2.5 yr old Inspiron15

Error message appears with each MS Office program.  My internet provider required me to uninstall and reinstall Norton Security Suite today as part of its conversion to "Constant Guard" security offering.  The programs were working prior to this change.  Attempts to reinstall MS Office have failed since the product key is very old.  Microsoft error message suggests that I "fix" the problem through Control Panel but offers no suggestions on how to do so.  Very frustrated since I've been working toward a resolution for about 2.5 hours now.  Suggestions?

Hi rcrueter,

Try the below mentioned steps and reply with results:

1. Click “Start”.

2. Click “Run”.

3. In the Run Dialog Box type “appwiz.cpl” (without double quotes) and hit “Enter”.

4. Right-click “Microsoft Office 2010” application and select “Change”.

5. Click “Enter a Product Key” radio button and click “Continue”.

6. Enter the Product Key and click “Continue”.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for responding. The reconfiguration went just like it should have but I'm still getting the same license verification error message when I open any office program. Is there a Plan B out there?
