Missing Preinstalled software after hard drive and cpu replacement
hello
I recently had a hard-drive failure on my Dell Studio 1749 and Dell replaced my Hard-drive, CPU and Motherboard. I logged in to my account with Dell to download the preinstalled software that had originally come with the laptop, but when I put in my Service Tag there are only drivers and updates available. There was no option to download software and I have also lost all my swinging widgets that hung down from the top of the screen.
Please can someone advise how to reinstall the software?
Thank you

Hi copperycat,
When the hard drive is replaced the image will only contain the operating system and basic drivers. You will not find the preinstalled software. However you can go to this link and find the softwares here.
To download Dell Stage

Please go to My Dell Downloads and install the required software

Thank you for your help. I have downloaded Dell Stage but I am getting an error message that I don't have the correct graphics card or driver installed. However, the graphics card and driver is the one that originally came with the laptop on the driver and utilities cd. I have downloaded a driver update but it hasn't made any difference. I still get the same error message.
