Restoring system from Datasafe archive

I created an archive of a full system backup onto DVDs. The old disk was replaced. The new disk was set to Factory state. When I try to restore the archive onto the new disk, Datasafe doesn't recognize the first or last DVD as an archive source. It keeps saying to put the first disk in.

Has this been seen before and is there a resolution?
