Windows 10 has deleted my Dell Backup and Recovery software

I have a Latitude that was upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. When I bought it, DBAR was on it. It also had a Windows Old folder. Now somehow both have disappeared. There is nothing but Windows in the Windows Old folder, and DBAR has disappeared completely.

I have old Dell backup files from my old Vista computer that I need to restore. I do have a Windows 8 computer that still runs. Can I copy the DBAR files from that computer to this computer, then update them?

ETA: Will the new DBAR recover the old Vista backup files?

Thank you!

dsa2591,

When installing Windows 10 you would have had 30 days to restore back to the previous OS. After that the Win.old folder backup would be deleted. You cannot use DBAR from Windows 8 and copy Vista files.

Dell Backup and Recovery (DBaR) and Windows 10
