outlook 2003 error 0x800CCC0F and 0x800CCC19

When receiving messages in Outlook 2003, "details" given are like those below

Receiving message 1 of 166 (133B of 591KB)   then Outlook goes to one of two

error codes   0x800CCC0F and 0x800CCC19  .  "connection to server was interrupted"

The emails do not exist on my email server...msn knowledge base said it was a problem with mcafee firewall.  Mcafee online was unable to configure the firewall and told me to uninstall firewall.  I did and Outlook worked for 30 minutes or so....then back to the same error as above.  Every day the number of "messages" and "KB" is larger.

I guess I may have to uninstall/reinstall outlook....but I have so many folders there with info in them that I don't want to lose...and I'm not sure that would even solve the problem.

Ideas, anyone?
