I am also in a similar situation. I have been attending classes in preparation for January 2019 E20-007 exam and by retiring, does it mean this exam will no longer be offered in 2019 onwards or there will be an equivalent exam?

The course content of the Data Science and Big Data Analytics was updated in 2018  The new training assets are referred to as Data Science and Big Data Analytics v2.  As you apparently are aware, the E20-007 exam is retiring December 28, 2018.    The new exam is described at the above link.
