It's always great to hear that people both enjoy and learn from our courses. Thanks for letting us know (and our instructors always love to hear this!)

I know
;-)
I'm still in touch with Mr Stead when it comes to Clariions !
And Desiré Th. was relaxed but very clear in her training and I learned a lot about interpreting performance measurings on Symm.

Hello RRR,
thanks for the discussion. If you can, we would like to hear how your EMC training and certifications have influenced or affected your job role at your company. We have a small incentive program going (iPod portable speakers) that is feature on the front page. If you could look at that link, and could take few minutes to articulate your experience (success?) it would be greatly appreciated.
best regards,
Charles

hello EMC Education,
I am Alvin Chong from a EMC Distributor in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia... I am currently an EMC Proven Professional - Associate for Clariion Solutions. I did most of my training at EMC Education in Singapore. I am in the process of getting specialists certification for Clariion TA track. I was at EMC World 2008 in Las Vegas, USA last year. It was a great experience and I got to meet lots of people and got to learn lots of new Stuff. Great Work EMC!!. Unfortunetly i am unable to attend this year's EMC World in Orlando Florida due to the Global Crisis as well as my company is cutting costs on travelling etc.
Thank you
Regards,
Alvin Chong

Hi
I'm a certified Clariion TA from South Africa. I'm also lookin into doing Clariion IE, Celerra IE and Celerra TA certification in the near future. I also currently hold a VMWare VTSP and VSP.
I am active as a solution designer for the EMC disti in South Africa and I find the knowledge gained by the certifications invaluable in my day to day work.
Thanks for a great training program!

Hi
I have recently passed my E20-322 and E20-520 exams and I must admit they are quite tough. My best advice is to study the student refrence guide .pdf document itself after listening to all the presentations. Also try your best to get some hands on experience with Navisphere, Snapview, Mirrorview and Sancopy.
I hope this helps

I'd recommend the 322 instructor led training. It's very "dry" non technical stuff, but it teaches you the basics of what a TA would have to do and know.
I did that ILT (and was glad when it was over).

I attended the ILT, but I must admit though the training was amazing in helping build practical skills needed in the solution design process it wasn't very helpfull with the E20-322 exam. (Maybe 2 or 3 questions at the most out of the 68 questions) I personally found the PDF documents alot more help while preparing for the exam. That said I would recommend the Solution Design workshop to anyone even considering doing a Clariion or Celerra TA as it has been one of the best training courses I have ever attended!

I only took the ILT and passed the exam in 1 pass. But..... I had 3 years of experience at the time, which heavily counts as well I think ;-)

Hi,
This is Bhargav Bandlamudi. I know that my name is difficult to pronounce. So everyone can call me as 'B'. I work for one of the EMC partners in New Jersey as Storage Engineer supporting EMC Symmetrix, DMX, Clariion, Centerra machines. I have Clariion Technology Foundations Certification and now I am working on ISM certification.

Hi Michelle,
Since my last post, I have completed my contract and moved on.
I ended up solely working on the FMA file archive and a new research Storage facility.
Unfortunately the research storage went to a competitor, but was a good learning experience.
I have secured a new role as Technical Consultant working with an EMC Partner.
I have responsibility for a major client that has Symetrix, Clariion, Celerra, and Brocade FC switches.
It is a large site that I am the technical lead of, but also lending my skills to other contracts.
This has come about from my experience and certification with EMC equipment.
Yes, now that I am back in a role working directly with the equipment I will be pursuing additional certifications.
Looking forward to reading more on the Proven Professional site
Regards
Mac
