EMCTA track

Hi,

I wanted to be a EMCTA specialist certified to do some pre sales,I am looking for EMC Storage & Information Infrastructure as the speciality.

The question is will this exam E20-322 Technology Architect Solutions Design Exam Update! will suffice or should I be writing below exams too? (just wanted to confirm before I take the step)

E20-500 EMC Storage and Information Infrastructure Exam

or

E20-501 EMC Commercial Storage and Information Infrastructure Exam

Rahul.

Hello Rahul -

The link you provided shows the credential requirements in the upper right corner (see cut and paste below). For this credential you would be required to chose E20-500 OR E20-501 AND complete the E20-322.

Also note that credentials are based on accumulative knowledge so you would also need to hold a valid Associate level credential (like E20-001) in order to meet all of the requirements for the Specialist level credential.

From some one I heard E20-322 Exam is a consolidated exam, thus this question came into my mind.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I know this is a veyr old post but can you help me in resolving a query for me.

1.I have cleared SNIA S10-101exam (SNIA certified Storage Professional) around 3 years back the credentail is still valid (can this exam be replaced for E10 101 as it says that we need to hold a valid Associate level credential (like E20-001 --> not only this but like this) in order to . I was preparing for E20-322 exam (already attempted once and was unable to clear by just 1%)

2. Also I wanted to know whether I can attempt E20 322 exam? And how can I use it (credential) if I can clear it (as this exam is Technology architect solution design with almost all the EMC product questions in it)? What credential I get from EMC if I clear this exam?

3. Also whether I can give any other exam later on say (E20 520 or E20 500) without having to repeat E20 322 exam to get the complete credentials in future?

4. How much value this exam E20 322 alone holdS?

Please help me with more information on it

Also the E20 322 exam description says:

< snip>

This exam is a qualifying exam for multiple Technology Architect Specialist tracks, including EMC Storage and Information Infrastructure, EMC Commercial Storage and Information Infrastructure, Symmetrix Business Continuity, CLARiiON Solutions, SAN, NAS, CAS, and Storage Management

< /snip>

So i guess this exam can be attempted first and then any other specialist exams say E20 500 can be opted (since it is a qualifying exam for multiple technology architects Specialist tracks).

So if the exam S10 101 is equivalent to E10 101 (associate level exam) and I attempt E20 322 I can take the specialist exam later on to choose the track of my choice and will then be eligible for the EMCTA credentials then?

Thanks in Advance!!!
