15FP mouse not functioning with KVM

Question

I have a Linksys 8-port SVIEW08 KVM. I have a 15FP Monitor/Mouse/Keyboard. The problem is the mouse pad that comes with the 15FP doesn't work with the KVM. If I use a regular PS2 mouse it works. If I boot up the server with the KVM, I get no mouse. If I replace the 15FP mouse with a regular ps2 mouse while the server is still on the mouse works. If I plug the 15FP directly into a server the keyboard AND mouse works just fine. Does anybody have any ideas?

I am having the same exact problem with the 15FP... Dell 15FP / Avocent Switchview 1000 / PowerEdge 2900 + PowerEdge 1800 / Windows Server 2003 SP2... The KVM works great if I use any other KB and mouse, and like H2Wes I've tried every possible configuration. Dell sells the Switchview 1000, I am baffled as to why it will not work with their hardware. I'm tired of kicking everyone off the server for pointless reboots, any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same problems with the 15FP connected to Belkin omniview Pro2 kvm.  Constantly either the keyboard or the mouse does not work, sometimes both.  Of course it works fine when I use an external keyboard and mouse, so Whats the point of having the console!  Dell support has been no help at all.  They keep asking if the console operates normally when I plug it directly to a server.   Again, that's not the point of having this.   I am completely frustrated with this unit.  And to top things off there is no Insert key.   I was thinking about purchasing a better KVM switch to see if that solved the issue, however after looking here that may be a waste. Has anyone found a combination that worked with this console?
