71PXP KVM

Question

Hi, We have got a problem with a 71PXP KVM, and i cant find any documentation or anything for it so hopefully someone here can help. I daisy chained it in a rack, and i could only get a signal on the first port. I then took it out of the rack and set it up stand alone but the monitor kept filckering. Were can i get a firmware upgrade or even a manual for it. Cheers Lukey

I had the same issue. I called Dell Tech Support and they replaced the KVM 71 PXP Switch. Issue resolved...

I finally managed to find some firmware upgrades for them on the dell support pages, we took all the switchs to the same level and this seamed to cure the problem Luke

I just installed an additional KVM 71PXP. How do I connect (daisy chain) it to the first? Thanks.

Also, Rack_guy, what is the part number for the rack mounting hardware?

To daisy chan these swithes use the standard KVM cabe to connect the console port on one switch to a computer port on another switch. I'm not sure what the Dell part number for the mounting kit is but you can use an Avocent BR-11SB mounting kit.
