The system was originally sold with a S130 software disk controller. What I am a little unsure is what kind of backplane the server was sold with. I think you got the chassis for up to 8, 2.5" Hard Drives. And normally, a S130 supports up to 10 disks. Normally the H730P PERC controller works with a x4 hard drive backplane or a x24 hard drive backplane.
To sum up, I cannot be sure what parts suggest you to adquire to make sure it will work as it was not originally sold with this configuration. You need to check what backplane you have. Then you need a SAS cable connector from the PERC H730P card to the SAS connector on the backplane.
This Dell P/N 9MHYN SAS Cable is for a 8*2.5 BP to Adapter PERC (for 2.5x8). So it will all depend on what backplane do you have. x4? x8? x24? Can you try to find out the backplane Dell Part Number?
Regarding the fans, it's correct TGC4J is the correct Dell Part Number for the original fans of R630. The ones from R620 are the Dell Part Number F1YN7 and they are considered compatible.

Ksl2808,
With the configuration, the cable you would need for the H730p would part # F63HD.

Hello ksl2808,
I would like to have the Service Tag of this server to verify the originally installed parts. You can send it to me via PM.
Thank you in advanced and regards.

Hi,
Thanks for the answer.
Ive taken a look at the physical controller now, and can see that the following slots have disks:
0:1:2
0:1:3
0:1:4
0:1:5
0:1:9 (DVD)
So based on that, i believe its an 2,5x8 backplane ive got... Cause there is no way, it can fit x24 drives.
Can i somehow find the part number, without being physical at the server? iDrac, Lifecycle controller, etc?

Hi,
Thanks alot for the reply!
Last question... I know that i need the one with Screws, like the link below
https://www.m4l.com/F63HD-Dell-Cables
Can the other end of the cable, that you plug into the backplane, also have different type of "forms / sockets" ?
