HWC2003 Storeage BP1 SAS B cable or interconnect failure. Check connection.
Hi,
I am getting this error. I also get:
HWC2003 Storeage BP1 SAS A cable or interconnect failure. Check connection.
I am including two photos in order to see the cables of the server:
Currently I do not use PCIe SSD backplane, I use only SAS.
If you have any recommendations on how to solve this!
Thank you for your time,
Frank

Hi Frank,
Thank you for the service tag.
Here is the link for manual.
http://topics-cdn.dell.com/pdf/poweredge-r720_owner's%20manual_en-us.pdf
Page 37 has the connections for the backplane for SAS A & B cables and the backplane power connectors.
Page 136 shows where J_BP1 is plugged in.
Please ensure that the cables are securely connected. Let me know what you find.

Hi,
I am sorry I do not get it. Page 37 shows how to close the system. I do not see any connections...
In page 106 it has a similar setup like mine's. But I do not use any integrated storage controller, nor PCIe SSD Backplane. Instead I use Dell H730p only for SAS.
Can't you see the image I have sent above and conclude something? I am pretty sure the cables are securely connected.
Thank you,
I hope we will find a solution!

My server is a Dell PowerEdge R720xd. Do we have any updates. Shall I erase this message if it is not important?

Hi,
Page 97 has the image I was referring to. Not on page 37.
I can see in your photo that there is a cable that looks to be unplugged, but I am unable to determine what cable that is. There appears to be an empty plug under the the unplugged cable. Is there a label there that you can see?
Thanks,
Dynamic Raj
