Operating an R630 as a JBOD using an H730 Mini Raid
I'm wanting to utilize my R630 servers as JBOD units. They currently have H730 Mini raid cards installed, but from what I understand that will not work. I will need H330 Raid cards.
Someone mentioned to me that I should be able to flash the H330 BIOS onto the H730 raid card so that the system recognizes and will operate as if I had H330 minis installed, but I'm not sure how to go about doing this.

I think you are looking to change the personality mode on the H730,

NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DRIVES AND YOU WILL LOSE ANY DATA ON THE DRIVES.
this is how to do it:
Reboot the system, press Cntrl+R when prompted to do so, then press Cntrl-N until the Ctrl Mgmt tab is highlighted, then change the Personality Mode to HBA (see picture).
