PSU Issues Prevent PowerEdge R630 From Starting
I have been receiving errors regarding the PSUs in my PowerEdge R630 for some time. Usually all I've had to do is either restart the server or reseat the PSUs and that alleviates the issue. However it is not helping this time. This morning I did a reboot on the server and the following error arose:
I did what it suggested, I shut down the server, removed the PSUs, waited several minutes, re-inserted the PSUs and started the server. I then received the same error. I then inserted the PSUs from another R630 server we have and got the same result. The only way the server will start, and with no error, is if I only have one PSU installed, doesn't matter which one, and it doesn't matter which slot. The LCD display on the front will say there's a problem since the redundant power supply is missing but other than that there are no problems.
I was wondering if anyone has had experience dealing with this issue and would have an idea on how to troubleshoot it? Thanks very much.

Hello
The power supplies connect to a power distribution board. I think the PDB on the R630 is integrated into the system board. If both PSUs and both slots work without issue then the problem is likely with the PDB.
I would take the system to minimum-to-POST to reduce the number of potential issues. I would also update all hardware, it looks like the BIOS is several revisions old.
