Hi,
Could you elaborate more on the during firmware update process, what tools are you using to update the firmware, or how are you updating the firmware of the server? What kind of account are you referring to, as in is it a support site for downloads?
Let me know more.

No, absolutely not. HP, Lenovo, and Cisco do that, not Dell. Companies should not hold hardware ransom. Just go to support.dell.com to get drivers/firmware for your model.

hello, sorry for not providing all the scenarios, I am going to update the firmware of CMC - active and standby, iKVM, IOMs through the graphical interface. My question is whether I need an account at support.dell.com to download the firmware or if in the update process I require that account to be able to finish as in the case of other brands of servers
