R710 memory config question (1 CPU, 4 memory sticks)

Pulling my hair out trying to make this work. I've replaced two stock installed 2GB sticks with four identical ELPIDA 4GB PC3-10600R DDR3-1333 REGISTERED ECC 2RX4 CL9 240 PIN 1.5V sticks. And I can't get them to work with full 16GB capacity. From R710 manual https://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pedge/en/server-poweredge-r710-tech-guidebook.pdf new sticks should go in A2 A5 A3 A6 but that configuration gives me error and disables A2 and A5. It also suggests that I should use A1 A4 A2 A5. I've tried that but also didn't work, this time disabling A2 and A5 again. If I understood correctly Memory mode in BIOS for 4 sticks should be Advanced ECC but I'm unable to change from Optimised no matter which config I use. BIOS is latest 6.6.0, iDRAC 2.92, LCC 1.7.5.4. All memory modules tested OK.

What memory mode are you looking to use? Be advised that you will lose memory capacity if you use Advanced ECC, most people use Optimized mode. If you're trying to get full 16GB from 4x 4GB capacity, Advanced ECC is not an option. Only Optimized would provide the full capacity.

What is the desired end goal? It'll be easier to make a recommendation if we know when the end goal is.
