Recommended PDU for 6850 & 2850
I am currently looking for a recommended PDU (power distribution unit) for my dell rack. Here is my situation:
I have several PowerEdge 6850s and the PowerEdge 2850s in a dell rack. The 6850s are 200 - 240v while the 2850s are the regular 120v.
What PDU would I use for my rack so that I can plug all servers in? Thanks for the help.

In other words, which PDUs will work with the 6850 that dell sells on this page:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productlisting.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=04&category_id=6251&first=true
And can I plug the 2850 into the same pdu?
Thanks.

Hello,
If you can give me an exact count for the number of PE6850's and PE2850's you have exactly in that rack (as well as any other units you might be powering in that rack), I can work at getting you a PDU setup.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make the following senario work.
Have a Fresh 2200rmxl tnet UPS from APC.
a 1T890 PDU - (13 outputs)
and a New Poweredge 2850 Server which also has a powervault 220s and a powervault 114t connected to it (the server that is).
Now My Question is this: how can I know if the PDU I have is compatible with the L6-20 output plug (voltage wise) ? the input n the PDU says 16A-240Vac and only the 2 rear outputs have any writing on them which says "10a 250v" and the front 11 outputs are unmarked. So Do I assume that this is a 120v only PDU? I spoke to a dell technitian who said that the front was 110v and the back was 240v, but the document that he sent to me did not show My Model number PDU and the ones it did show did not apear to be dual voltage unless they have differnt types of plugs. so wil this PDU work with my system? or do I need another PDU to interface correctly?
I read in another forum that someone said that the 2850 could handle 60 to 260v input, but this seams far fetched, is it true? and is there something I have to do to the server to make it accept different voltages?
the basic problem is there are only 2-110v outputs on the UPS unit and we do not want to overload them so we need to use the L6-20 output or the L6-30 outputs (there are 2 of them) the L6-20 seems to be the easiest to match up so I am looking at it for now. but I need to make sure I will not blow up or otherwise destroy the brand new server when we hook it up.

The voltage range of a 2850 is 84-264 volts, There are 2 power supplys that require up to 700w each.
The voltage range of a 220S is 100-240 volts, There are 2 power supply that requires up to 600w each.
I couldn't find information on the 114t but your server and drive enclosure may need up to 2600 watts and an SU2200RMXLTNET is only rated for 1600 watts. If you can keep your power draw under 1600 watts (its very likely but I had to warn you) you should be able to use your 1T890 PDU. This PDU has an IEC-320 C20 input and IEC-320 C13 outlets. IEC-320 connectors are for use on devices that can be powered by 110 or 220 volt current. If your PDU was rated for only 110 volts it would have a NEMA type connector.
You will need a NEMA L6-20P to IEC-320 C19 cable to connect your PDU to your UPS
You will need a IEC-320 C14 to IEC-320 C13 cable for each power supply you connect to the PDU
