Service Tag Number stuck on LCD Display on R630
Hi there,
I replaced the motherboard on an R630 machine in a small DC and its back on the network functioning as expected, except its ST# shows in the front LCD display instead of the machine host name like all the other servers. The host gets its connectivity via the DHCP. Any idea what causes this and how I can correct it? Thanks.

Hello,
Found this:
You can change it in BIOS Setup F2 by going to Embedded Server Management and setting Front-Panel LCD Options to User-Defined String, then going to User-Defined LCD String to set the string.
You can also change it from the OS using OMSA (OpenManage Server Administrator by going to System, Main System Chassis, Front Panel (sub tab), and set LCD Line to Custom.

Maybe a Power drian first can help too.
