Anyone used RP as a migration tool?

I am working on a VCE proposal to move from data from an older VBLOCK 720 (VMAX) to a new VBLOCK 740 (VMAX3) using RP as the tool to replicate old to new. Once replication is complete, the VM's will then be migrated with SRM to the new VBLOCK. Has anyone experience of using RP as a replication/migration tool in this way? Does this look feasible, or is it asking too much of RP to do this? Any thoughts? thanks Rob Hildick

Hi Rob,

Yes, traditional RP has been used on numerous occasions in the past to facilitate this. However, you now have the option to use RP4VMs to do this on a T&B basis, although this has its own orchestration capability and does not support SRM.
