Ranjit,

The prompt is given since RP can be configured for CDP only which is a single site.. i.e if you answer 1 site you get CDP only... for CRR answer 2.

Site one should have a minimum of  two appliances but you can have up to 8 per site. Site two would have a minimum of two appliances..

After you answer the environments prompts ( number of sites, type of replication FC or IP..etc) .. then you have the opportunity to add the ip configuration details..

Have you been to training on this product this is covered in the base installation training. If you have not been trained you should not be installing this product.

Also the Deployment Manager Installation guide has details on these configuration details.

Thanks a lot Rick for the quick response.

A small query...

Is it possible to configure CRR with only one appliance on primary

i.e 1 Appliance on primary  and 1 appliance on secondary

If yes then please let me know how "Sites" are configured on these appliances.

Thanks & Regards

Appreciate a quick response.

For both RecoverPoint and RecoverPoint/SE, you need a minimum of 2 RPA's at each site.

I got that info from the RecoverPoint procedure generator.

Ranjit,

That would not be a supported config as we require HA configs at both sites.  We have configured it this way in the past in test labs etc.. but new versions of RP are validating configs prior to installation as well as NDU upgrades code checks so this is no longer something you want to do even in a test lab.
