2. Yes, this can be configured via the sysmgmt CLI (SSH using user admin and [6] System management CLI), here's a quick procedure:

1. Filter event severity using the command create_event_filter
2. Set the smtp server using set_smtp_server
3. Enable email with enable_email
4. Configure sender with config_email
5. Add the e-mail users that are to receive e-mail notifications using add_e-mail_users
6. Test the email with test_email
