Hi Bill,

Will the storage/datastores be moving too? As long as the target VMs, VMDKs remain the same, I don’t see why not.

  • You will have to update the vcenter IP which is registered in RPVM using admin CLI. Also, as a worst case, if you have to reconfigure CGs, make sure you select the existing Copy/replica VMs (instead of RPVM auto-creating new VMs) and in that case even though the process will be full sweep, only changed blocks will be transferred across the WAN.

Doing a local test before the move is a good idea including testing VC re-IP. Feel free to contact me offline if needed.

Thanks, we will definitely test it out beforehand.  Everything will be re-IP'd, including the vRPA nodes, so I just wanted to make sure it was supported to re-IP every single component, and resume replication without needing to do a "full sync".

I would also test the re-IP locally - especially if you’re re-IP’ing VC, vRPAs and iSCSI network. You can keep them all in subnet A but move them to a different IPs. AFAIK, I do not believe we have tested this procedure before and that’s why I suggest you fully test it locally.
