Recoverpoint find Software version

Hi,
I have recently inherited a pile of emc kit to look after. And the VNX element of it is due an upgrade.
There is a readiness tool for that part, but I fell foul at the first hurdle The Software asked the versions of recover point.

Googling the phrase "recoverpoint software version" and any other permutation of that wasn't very helpful.
Logging into the web front end gave you a version, but not in the same format as the service tool was asking for.

So after a little digging I found if you log into the recoverpoint  unit using Putty and type get_version it gives you the proper one. I post this in the hope that it saves someone a little time.
