Recoverpoint management will not load in IE or Firefox

We recently upgraded Recoverpoint from 3.0 to 3.1.     Now when I try to run the Recoverpoint managament application from IE or Firefox  nothing happens.    I think it is a Java problem.    I was runniing Java v5 update 11.    I uninstalled v5 and installed the latest v6 update 17.    Still nothing happens in IE or Firefox.   I just get a white screen.      It works on another PC that already had v6 java???

I had a similar issue after upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1.1. Installing v6 update 5 seemed to fix the issue.

Aranh,

I tried that version also, and I still have the same problem (I think I

have tried about every v6 update version now). It will create the icon

on the desktop, but I will never get a login screen.

Thanks,

Well that is certainly frustrating. I recall when we did our upgrade that it seemed like no versions of java were working, and unfortunately I don't remember what combination of tasks (server reboot, java uninstall/install, browser cache clear) finally got v6 update 5 working.

Do you have a support case open?

AranH,

I figured it out. There was a rp directory underneath my profile (C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\rp) that I had to remove and then when I tried it again it created a new "rp" directory. I think this is for the Eclipse code that is used with the RPA management console.

Thanks,

Glad you got it resolved, that was a hard one to figure out.
