vRPA Cluster Unrechable

Hello,

we have a vrpa cluster with two vRPAs. vRPAs' IP addresses are 172.20.1.107/24 and 172.20.1.108/24. Cluster IP address is 172.20.1.109.

On normal circumstances every thing is ok. if vRPA which cluster work with its MAC address goes down (Based on every event, even if manually shut it down), physical switch doesn't receive any notification to change MAC address for Cluster IP so vRPA Cluster become unreachable. we must change MAC address on the switch manually so HA for cluster is useless!!!.

Any idea?

Regards,

Mohammad

We do not support changing the MAC address of the vRPAs.

Thanks Rich,

But i think you didn't get the point.

I explain with an example. you consider vRPA1 has IP1 and MAC1, vRPA2 has IP2 and MAC2, vRPA cluster has IP3.

in normal condition, vRPA cluster work with IP3 and MAC1. if i shutdown vRPA1 manually, vRPA Cluster must work with MAC2 automatically but this doesn't happen. So cluster become unreachable.

OK, so you mean that Site Control is not passing from vRPA1 to vRPA2. Please open an SR so that Support can talk a close look.
