Monitoring of AutoStart resources

Question

We are currently looking into more detailed ways to monitor AutoStart and its resources externally. We currently use Nagios as our enterprise-wide monitoring service. We had a couple cases where AutoStart wasn't exactly healthy, but we did not know about it until someone logged into the server and saw the issue. One issue I had already posted about here in the forums where there was an errant copy of the ftbackbone process running which was causing the secondary node to not be able to talk to the primary node. Even though we have the User Notification Settings set to email us on State Changes and Node Group Failover, we never received any emails regarding this, which is prompting us to look into other ways to monitor AutoStart. We currently monitor if the AutoStart services are running through WMI, but all of the services were started while this issue was present, so we were not alerted through Nagios. Are there any ways we can check on the health of nodes and resources through an external check like Nagios? Thanks Brian
