OK. So when they are physical RDM then Replication Manager will pick up the array. Makes sense? I can do this with iSCSI initiatr too though right? (if I wanted to)
When I try to discover the arrays with the pRDM I get the message below. May seem an obvious question but do I really need to set up replication before this? (just double checking :-))
"Replication Manager does not discover these storage arrays until the first replication occurs"

Correct. Database and Log LUN have to reside on Physical RDM devices.

Yes you do. You have to configure replication before using RM.
You can use iSCSI initiator inside the VM.

I suppose a question - what are you trying to do?
RM should detect the VNXe during an array discovery with the right tools on the VM with pRDM or iSCSI MSI.
