Perhaps you do not have any shadow storage allocated for your snaps. Use vssadmin to make sure this is not this case. If you type vssadmin on the CLI, it will give you a help on how to use the commands.
To make sure I have enough storage space for VSS, I added 100Gb to both the source and the target, configured VSS to use this new partition as shadow storage, but I still get the same error. Anything else I can check?
