BIOS Woes with New HDD for Studio 1737

Today I replaced my primary SATA HDD with a new one but cannot make the BIOS see it at all.

Every time I try to change something in the BIOS, the keyboard makes a loud beep... and I'm taunted by a message in the right column that I should seek help from a supervisor. This is a home laptop; there should be no higher authority than me for this machine! How do I make the BIOS understand that there is a new HDD? How do I enable "supervisory" powers within the BIOS?

Thanks!

Hi Sam Spectre,

Here's your troubleshooting guide. So what's the beep code you're getting?
