CD/DVD wont open--Stuck

Hey all, I have a dimension C521 and the door to the dvd/cd player is stuck closed.  I have put a small pin or other item in the hole to open it and still wont open.  It trys but is stuck.  is there anyway to get it open without breaking the thing?  Thanks for anything you can give
