CD-Text supported drive
I would like to purchase cd burning software that has the cd-text burning support, ie song titles, artist name, etc, although I don't know if my cd-rw drive supports that. Does anyone know how I can find this out? My system has
HL-DT-ST CD-RW GCE-8483B drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks

Yes, it does according to the specs for that drive shown here:

If you're looking to buy something, the forum regulars recommend Nero.

Hi osprey Thanks for responding. I have been using Windows Media Player and finally found out yesterday, that it does not support burning the cd-text. So, I went to look for programs that do and I found many, however, they all say that my cd burner must support this option as well. I have read so many things now that I'm not sure if it does. How would I go about finding out before I go and purchase a new program?
Thanks

Thank you so much osprey........I went to Dell last night and tried to find information, but I think 6 hours of reading and getting confused on things started to set in. By the time I was there, I couldn't see straight and I didn't know where to look for information on my burner. Even the chat with the Dell Rep was cut off before I could finish. Anyway, that is how I found this community forum which I happen to think is great...:smileyhappy: Thanks again.....now I can get to my housework, then find my software, which after all the reading, I was considering Nero as well, burn my cd's and be happy!!!!!!:smileyvery-happy:
Million Thanks......
