Can Not Connect My MP3 Player
I just replaced my old Dell Windows Home 64bit with a new Windows Home 64bit.
Now I’m NOT able to connect my ZEN MP3 player to my PC. I can download the software and use “their” music organizer, but I don’t want to use theirs.
No ZEN icon appears under “Devices with Removable Storage”
I like to organize my music with WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.
ZEN help desk has been trying to help me, but nothing works. Is there something that I need to unblock or change settings on my end that will allow me to add my ZEN player to Windows Media Player?
Thanks,
Scott13

Hi Scotty13,
I'm not sure what you mean by "replaced my old Dell Windows Home 64bit with a new Windows Home 64bit". Do you mean that you reinstalled the operating system?
When you say you are unable to connect, I assume that means you have your Zen physically plugged into an available USB port. Do you see "Scott's Zen" in Computer? That's where I normally find my Zen listed. It also appears in devices and printers. Do you not see that?

If the new system has Windows 8 on it, note that Creative is not supporting the Zen with this OS.

My poor Zen has been collecting dust since I got an iPhone. Need to drag it out and see if it's still got a charge.

Scotty13,
You still haven't told us the model of your Dell and operating system. Not a whole lot of help I can offer without that information.

Never mind. I was setting up my printer and I just happen to have my ZEN plugged in, so when I was under “Devices & Printers” there was a button on the page to “ADD ZEN” and the rest is history.
Thanks,
