DVD/CD-RW drive not working properly.
I have restored my DIMENSION E510 back to factory settings and want to run Window's 7 Upgrade disc. The CD drive reads CD's I've burned with photos, but when I insert the Window's 7 CD it does nothing.
Also, since the restore to factory settings, I've been unable to get online. I use a Charter Cable modem.
I've ran a customized test on the CDROM/DVD and it shows all 'have passed. I then ran a customized test on the Hard Drive and had this error message:
Error Code-0F00:0244
Msg: Block122897144: Uncorrectable data error or media is write protected.
I'm not sure if that means anything but thought I'd include it.

The error massage indicates the SATA hard drive has failed and you need to replace it ASAP.
After replacing the drive, you need to reinstall the operating system, then load all the drivers and applications.
Unless there'a a Dell warranty in effect, you need to buy an internal, SATA, 3.5", 7200rpm hard drive.
