DVD/CD Rom no power.

Hi, My Dell Vostro 260 MT desktop computer DVD rom is not working that means there is no power to open the DVD rom. On the device manager also not showing the DVD rom. I tried the system restore but that is not sort out this problem. The computer is less than one year old. I couldn't use the recovery dvd disc because the dvd rom is not working. Hi kmuhunthan,

Please open your computer case and remove and reinsert the power cable. Boot the computer and go directly into the BIOS (F2). Check if your DVD drive is present there. If it is, boot to Windows and check again.

Hi, Thank you for the details. I done exactly you instructed but when I press the F2 key and see on the Bios DVD rom is not showing and didn't make the dvd rom visible.

Still there is no power in the dvd rom.

Thanks

It appears to me that your drive has failed and needs to be replaced. You system can use any standard desktop 5.25" SATA DVD drive.
