DVD drive- unsigned device after windows update. brand new XPS 17
I ran windows update recently and found that afterwards my DVD rom is shown as unsigned device driver and will not read. I have windows 7. I have had this happen on 2 laptops I have with windows 7. When I run the driver update, it says I already have the proper drivers. I tried downloading the drivers from the dell page, but it sas they are not the right type.
Any ideas?

What program(s) have you installed? Anything related to the DVD burner, such as a video editing program?
