Dell Inspiron N7110 restore failure
Hi...I'm trying to restore a Dell Inpiron N7110 laptop from the recovery partition but all I get is the following message when I try and boot from the F8 menu:
"The tool failed to run. Try choosing another tool"

If you haven't run an extended diagnostic on the hard drive, that would be first (F12 at powerup).
If the drive passes, has the OS been upgraded since the system was new? If so, what OS is it running?

Diagnostic run...passed.
OS is corrupted. I believe it's running Win 7 Pro but the system was sold with Win 7 home prem

When that was done, the recovery partition was likely deactivated or wiped out. If it was just deactivated, you can manually boot using a Windows boot CD or flash drive:

If it was wiped out, you'll need to do a manual reload of the OS:
