Dimension E310 won't burn DVD-R

Hello all,

I have 6 Dell Dimension E310 computers, all with Windows XP service Pack 3, all upgraded with DVD+/-R burners and appropriate software to burn DVDs.  They will all burn DVD-Rs escept for one.  It will burn DVD+Rs fine, but DVD-R discs hang up on the lead-in (on Nero) then gives a message to the effect of not being able to burn the disc.  What is up?  Why only this one?  It's not the drive's problem.  Three different drives do the same thing but work in others.  What is my computer thinking?  Don't tell me to get DVD+Rs, tell that to my boss.  I've told him three times, no effect.
