Driver Problem

When I run my PC a blue screen comes up saying that there's a problem with the driver partmgr.sys and windows has been shut down to prevent further problems. The only way I can log in is on the safe mode. Anyone know how to either sort out the corrupted driver or sort out the blue screen problem?
Thanks,

Never heard of that .sys file. Sounds like a parts program for a car dealer or something. You have a program like that? In the safe mode select run and type in msconfig and select ok.
Look under startup and services for something like parts manager and uncheck the box to start that program. Then reboot and see what happens. If you make a change by unchecking a box you will get a message that you have chosen a selective startup so check the box not t show this message again. If all else fails then under start do a search for that file and delete it.

Go to Start > Run, enter sfc /scannow > OK. [Note there is a space after sfc]
You may be prompted to insert your XP reinstallation disk.

More information on using sfc /scannow here.
