HD 2000 0142 error

Hi all

i've a 2000 0142 error on my Dell 7010 HD, could anyone tell me how i go about having it replaced and if Dell will recover the data from it please ?

Still in warranty until mid next year

If the system is under warranty, simply call Dell with the error and they'll replace the drive.  However, data recovery is your responsibility -- they will not recover the data for you.

They will also want the faulty drive back within a short period of time of your receiving the replacement.  Given that a drive costs as little as $50 -- while professional data recovery will start at about $600, you may simply want to replace the drive yourself if you have to send the faulty one to a recovery service.

Use Linux Fedora to recover your data yourself it can often read the drive when Windwos can't boot, do this as soon as possible:
