Hard Drive, 160G, S2, 7.2K, 8M Lead Free, SGT-PUM
i posted the specs of the hard drive in my dimension 9150. i have all but given up on my repairing my system, at first i thought it was the motherboard - which it wasnt and i am going thru the ringer to try my next move which might be to replace the power supply. But i have another idea - scrap this PC, get a new laptop and slave my existing hard drive to a another desktop just for the purposes of getting my files off it. Does anyone have any suggestions on slaving a hard drive wih the specs that i posted in the subject of this post?

You could use an USB adaptor similar to THIS and attach the SATA hard drive to a working computer and transfer the files and folders to it.
