Help Please: Inspiron E1505 getting CD/DVD disabled code 22-unable to enable
Hi. I have an Insprion E1505 notebook. My CD/DVD is not responding. Shows error on device manager. properties show 'disabled code 22'. When I try to enable it, message says 'windows not able to enable'. I saw some other postings on this, but never found an answer. My research shows this could be a hardware (wire connection), virus impact or registry issue. Virus scans show no issue. Help please. Thanks.
Fixed. Followed DELL-Brad L's FAQ. Used guided help and walla...it is not working...thanks to Brad and the forum

i have the same issue with my dVd-rom driver NEC , that i can't activate anymore ... have you gotyour answer by now ? thanks for help.

If that does not help, let me know what model Dell you have and your operating system.

thanks for this useful info . Followed a lot of microsoft indications until i could succesfully reinstall my driver ! best regards :emotion-2:
