Help with Laptop - Blue Screen of Death

Hi everyone.

I have a Dell Inspirion laptop with Windows 7 Vista, but it isn't working properly. Any time I try to activate my laptop, I get the Blue Screen of Death, along with the following errors:

*** STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA8003CC4750, 0xFFFFFA8003CC4988, 0xFFFFF80001311DA0)

I first noticed something wrong when my laptop wouldn't connect to my wireless internet even in places where I knew for a fact there was wireless internet available. Then after I shut it down and tried to restart it again, the Blue Screen of Death appeared with those errors and has been appearing ever since.

Every time the laptop is loading, it makes a sound like, EEE-RRRN, EEE-RRRN, which it always used to make. Is that a normal sound? There's no fast-paced clicking sounds or anything.

When I would run a full diskdrive check up from the F8 selection, it came back saying that all my SATAs had errors but that everything else was working fine. I can't even use the command prompt option or even get to the log in section.

Can anyone help me with this? Is it repairable? Is the data in the hard drive salvagable?

Thanks for any help.

P.S. Since I don't have a laptop and am using public computers, I may be slow to respond to any answers. Thanks for your patience in advance.

Here are some methods to possibly fix the blue screen issue. If you could give the Blue Screen info that would
help. Such as the BCC and the other 4 entries on the lower left. And any other error information such as STOP
codes and info such as IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and similar messages.

As examples :

BCCode: 116
BCP1: 87BC9510
BCP2: 8C013D80
BCP3: 00000000
BCP4: 00000002

or in this format :

Stop: 0x00000000 (oxoooooooo oxoooooooo oxooooooooo oxoooooooo)
tcpip.sys - Address 0x00000000 base at 0x000000000 DateStamp 0x000000000

these are usually hard drive issues. Can you use CTRL + ALT + DEL to get to Task Manager and end process on
explorer.exe? Try regular and safe modes - though that probably will not work. This probably means you
are having hard drive and/or drive controller failure. If you gain access to drive be sure to back up data
immediately using several techiques.

You need a Vista disk - you can borrow a friends as they are not copy protected or make one or do you have
a Recovery Console? From the COMMAND PROMPT of either :

chkdsk /f /r

Hi Blue_Screen,

Normally, a stop 0xF4 error means your hard drive is having problems. You should test the drive by booting to your Dell drivers and utilites disc, then running the Dell diagnostics on your hard drive.

DO NOT try to fix the problem using the suggestions provided by Khan786 unless you are sure the hard drive is sound. The more you mess around with it, the less likely you are to retrieve any data.
